The Essentials
Create to be Free is a 6 part interactive curriculum that walks you through emotional healing through art.
What you can expect
Each session is approximately 55 minutes and is facilitated by Theresa Dedmon.
- 15 minutes of teaching
- 40 minutes of guided practical application with which includes:
- Therapeutic art activation
- Cultivating a intimate healing connection with God
- Powerful Declarations
After each session, there are reflection and response questions for journaling and/or discussion.
Why Create to be Free?
Many people have been hurt though an encounter with an authority figure, a friend or family member. These encounters have created trauma that have hindered our lives. Through Create to be Free you will have a healing encounter that will create freedom and wellbeing so that you can live the most abundant live possible.
Creating art can access places in our heart that have become stuck. As we create, without words, we let go of the pain and we let God begin to heal us.
About Theresa
Theresa Dedmon
Creative Arts Director - Bethel Church Redding
Theresa is on pastoral staff at Bethel Church in Redding, California, where she oversees the Creative Arts department for the Church and School of Supernatural Ministry. She instructs on creative worship expressions and creative arts events within the church, as well as strategy and coordination for city transformation and outreach.Theresa speaks at national and international conferences, equipping and activating people to step into their supernatural destiny. She focuses on prophetic and healing ministry to help them walk in supernatural creative power to transform the world through creative expressions of God’s presence.Theresa earned her B.A. in Psychology, minoring in Biblical studies from Vanguard University, and a certification in Arts and Healing from Chapman University. She has been in pastoral ministry for over 25 years.

I have reviewed most of these areas previously and found a measure of freedom. However participating in Create to be Free has enabled me to feel a greater depth of release and of being aware of my true identity through the necessity to depict so many things on paper. I was glad to be doing the course on video because I needed to review small sections as I went along to keep the focus on what you wanted us to do. Geoff and I shared our respective drawings after each session and it did help us understand more about one another and ourselves, after 30 years of marriage! God showed me He has been healing me and encouraged me to go further which I will do with a counsellor. Theresa your videoed comments were great background and perspective and very helpful. Session 6 was my favourite, a launching place for vision for the free me! By the way I found coloured pencils was quite sufficient for the task. Live music was a good idea, more personal, gives people space.
